People aged between 12 and 25 who were born in, or whose Brynrefail parents have lived for at least five years in, the parish of Llanberis and Brynrefail Comprehensive school catchment area.
Recurrent grants are given with Preference to schoolchildren with serious family difficulties so the child has to be educated away from home.
Schoolchildren may receive grants towards the cost of school clothing and books. Apprentices and people starting work can be helped with the costs of books, equipment / instruments and travel. Students in further / higher education can receive grants for books, fees / living expenses, study or travel abroad and to participate in certain sports. Mature students can receive grants for books, travel and course fees.
